JS Bach: Contrapunctus 8 from "The Art of the Fugue," BWV 1080 (at medium tempo). Played on an 1892 6'2" Knabe grand. Continuing my tempo experiments on this piece, I have made one more version, this one at a "medium" tempo, that is, faster than the one marked "slower" and slower than the one marked "faster." Though some like the fast tempo, and think it most appropriate, I find it too fast, and my slower version, while reasonably satisfactory, sees now to be too slow. This version is in ...
