junior and intermediate champions at the coronation of Maori King Tuheitia. The event at Turangawaewae Marae involved the top senior kapa haka groups from New Zealand. The junior group started proceedings followed by the Auckland Anglican Maori choir, one of the oldest kapa haka groups founded by legendary tutor Reverend Kingi Ihaka. North Shore Youth Choir 2009 First ever performace after being together for less than a year. Mairi's Wedding- A Scottish folk song originally written in Gaelic by Johnny Bannerman for Mary McNiven. Written using a traditional Scottish tune, it was first played for McNiven in 1935 at the Old Highlanders Institute in Glasgow's Elmbank Street. Hugh S. Roberton translated the Gaelic version into English in 1936. Choir conducted by Vanessa Kay

This work by Gerald Finzi is widely thought to be dedicated to his wife, Joy. It is sung here in competition in the Big Sing nationals in 2007 by the Sweet Sixteen Choir of Aorere College. The director is Doug Nyce, HOD Music. The choir won silver and the Youth Ambassadors Award in the competition. Aorere College is a secondary school in Auckland, New Zealand.
