This is me playing Buxtehude's Klag-Lied at St Phillip's Anglican Church, Salford. In my humble opinion, this is one of the most beautiful chorales that Buxtehude ever wrote and compares favourably with Bach's Passion Chorale. Of course, he was writing it in honour of his recently deceased father so it's inspiration comes from a sad and emotional moment in the composer's life. I have opted for 8' foundation stops on the swell plus a tremulant, and an 8' trumpet on the Great manual. Of course ...
