I'm rereviewing this game game now due to a change of opinion with the advantage of retrospect. With the horrible excuse for a story, terrible lag in multiplayer, and downright evil community, I simply can't give this game a good score. So, this game is solid. There's nothing bad about it per se, I just personally found it a bit boring. I do, however, realize this game has a lot of popularity, and my dislike of it most likely stems from having played Saints Row 2, also by Volition, which was much better in my opinion. for them to still be villains in their own game. Honestly, this game is not up to par with the other entries, Chain of Memories included, when it comes to fun, and it's also surprisingly short. It's musical score is the same as ever though. Excellent. Yoko Shimomura is amazing as always. It's a good game if you have a DS and are a fan of the series. 't feel as tactical, nor as satisfying as Rome's. It's mainly because there's little variation when it comes to your abilities to command. Since many factions share troop types, unlike in Rome, you get a sense for things earlier on, which makes it boring. The music is very good, the controls are excellent as always, and the meshing or a turn-based campaign with real-time battles continues to win awards. voice acting is as one would expect, and does nothing for the dull and uninteresting character of Rubi Malone. The graphics go for an old timey feel, but are annoying at best and downright painful at worst. The only truly good thing here is the music, which is a shining example of what to do right in the game, but it doesn't even come close to saving it. In the end, WET is average. It's boring.
