Well, I thought it was time for a good old-fashioned fingerstyle piece. I really love the arrangements Al Petteway uses on the dreamguitars.com site. The tunes are "New Year's Day/On Christmas Night" and Al Petteway arranged and performed them beautifully on the cd "A Scottish Christmas." Incidentally, that is the cd on which I first discovered Al, and his style was a big influence in the direction that I headed on the instrument. I played this medley on my Mahogany Lowden 12-string cutaway in DADGAD, de-tuned 4 half-steps to Bb.
