5.56 mm NATO "Green Tip" vs. HARD Steel (500 Brinell)
This is a "chapter 2" portion for my 5.56 mm video that illustrated penetration on 1/4" welding steel. 500 Brinell steel is on a par with armor plating. A 12" disc, 3/8" thickness, from Mike Gibson Targets was used for the 80 yard test. I thought it would be educational to illustrate the various hardness properties of steel and how it effects bullet performance, in particular for a high-velocity bullet with a steel penetrator. FNH FS2000 with Urban E.R.T. Sling review.
Another great rifle by FN Herstal and a favorite in my collection. Chambered in the 5.56/.223 cartridge, a compact bullpup design that shoots great and looks like something from the future. There is a coolness to this gun that I just love. Hooked to the Urban ERT sling with a single-point setup it is a great weapon to have handy when you need it.
