Hong Kong Examinations And Assessment Authority The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) is an independent, self-funding and not-for-profit statutory body. Its main role is to conduct the HKCE and HKAL examinations. It also administers over 200 examinations leading to academic, professional or practical qualifications on behalf of the international examining bodies and local professional bodies. Applications are now invited for the following post: DIRECTOR - ASSESSMENT TECHNOLOGY AND RESEARCH (Ref: SGO/04/074) Job Location: Hong Kong Roles: The Director - Assessment Technology and Research (D-ATR) will play a leading role in overseeing the consistent application of assessment methods in order to maintain the standard of the qualifications the Authority confers. The Director shall also assume a key role in developing overall research plan, shaping related policy issues and promoting knowledge sharing to both internal and external clients. Major Responsibilities: Overseeing the consistent application of assessment technology (such as psychometric theories and statistical modeling) Maintenance of standards of the qualifications the Authority confers; Quality audit of examination / assessment papers and items; Management of the Research and Development Division; Assessment expertise training; Communication with the Authority's stakeholders including schools, the general public and the media regarding the assessment technology employed in maintaining standards; Contribution to the overall goals of the HKEAA as a member of the Senior Executive and Leadership Team.
