PHILIBRO & HUDSON Associates (M) Sdn. Bhd. We represent our client – a FMCG manufacturer with plants in Malaysia & China. In line with our client’s vast expansion plans, they have the following position to be filled in their Malaysia operations. Finance Manager Responsibilities: Responsible to generate monthly/quarterly/ad hoc report to management, Audit Committee and the Board. Prepare report any major accounting issues, (e.g change of accounting policies, adoption of new accounting policies, compliance with IFRS as a result of new commercial transactions, etc.). Enhance and update to ensure Group accounting policies are consistently applied and comply with IFRS throughout the Group in different geographical locations. Recommending effective internal controls over financial reporting by implementing and monitoring self assessment programs for finance function including all project management and communication to ensure timely adoption of and compliance with accounting standards. Play a role in the preparation of the Group annual report, consolidation process and provide support to the Controller for updates to the Audit Committee. Must possess a comprehensive understanding of accounting, accounting literature and research and must be capable of quickly understanding the business units and transaction information flows within the Group subsidiaries in various countries and financial system environment. Serve as resource for researching and providing clear explanations and guidance for complex accounting issues as they arise throughout the organization and communicate to the finance function. Serve as liaison with auditors regarding design and effectiveness of accounting policies adopted in the Group. Centre of excellence for financial reporting, good board paper, new technical standards. Good commercial sense.
