Checksum Validator is a simple to use utility to calculate and validate checksums (SHA-1 or MD5 digests) for files that you download (or will upload). By comparing a site’s published checksum with your calculated checksum, you can verify that your download matches the site’s “official” copy; free from corruption or tampering (unless the site’s checksum was also tampered with).
