Wolfson Microelectronics Scholarship for 2009-2010 Session, UK
Edinburgh University offers two scholarships in 2009-2010 to students who plan to hold PhD degrees in informatics at school or school of engineering and electronics at the University of Edinburgh. The cost of each decision will be £ 15000 for the school year and hold water for more than three years.
Keep in mind that none Wolfson Microelectronics Scholarships will be available for 2008-2009 .
Scholarships may be terminated at any time when the unsatisfactory progress report from school or scholarship, if the holder ceases to be registered as full-time student at the University of Edinburgh.
Eligibility
The scholarship is awarded to an MPhil/PhD student intending to study in the School of Informatics or the School of Engineering and Electronics at the University of Edinburgh. The sole criterion for the scholarships will be academic excellence; successful applicants are likely to hold or expect to achieve a UK first class Honours undergraduate degree or the overseas equivalent.

A completed scholarship application form, together with a copy of your degree transcript and two academic references, should be received by the Scholarships and Student Finance Office by the closing date of 1 April 2009 in order to be considered for the scholarship.
Applicants should also have applied for a place for postgraduate study at the University well in advance of the scholarship deadline.
Selection Procedure
The selection panel will meet in early May 2009 to select the scholarship holder. The winner of the scholarship will be announced in mid May 2009.
