Worried about how to pay for college? Afraid of drowning in a sea of student debt? Sure, Ben Kaplan once felt that way too. But that was before he discovered that there are billions of scholarship dollars out there for students with all types of interests, skills, and backgrounds. After winning enough college cash to cover virtually the entire cost of his dream school, he's written an indispensable guide that shows you how to stake your own scholarship claim.Applications are welcomed from international students who are non-EU nationals. Applicants must be full-time or sandwich, undergraduate or postgraduate degree students of the University of Wolverhampton, and should be enrolled (or intending to enrol) at the University either for the first time, or for a second award.

Applications for this Scholarship are processed after your course commences, so you are encouraged to wait until you have arrived at the University before applying.

Successful candidates will be awarded two separate payments of £1,000, a total of up to £2,000. No additional payments will be made, and students will remain liable for the full cost of their tuition fees.

For students enrolling on courses starting in September, Scholarship applications must be received at the International Office no later than 1 November, immediately following enrolment.

All applications for Scholarships must be accompanied by:

  • at least one confidential academic reference from an individual appropriately qualified to comment on your area of excellence
  • copies of all qualifications achieved to date, including transcripts, mark records and certificates – please include grade profiles where appropriate, together with information about grading systems (where available)

If you are a high school sophomore or junior, you will probably be taking the PSAT (pre-SAT) this year. More than a measurement tool to gauge your readiness and skill level for the SAT, this test also determines whether you qualify for the National Merit Scholarship program. Employing the reasoning skills successfully used in McGraw-Hill’s SAT I for the new SAT exam, McGraw-Hill’s PSAT/NMSQT gives you the edge you need to ace this test. You may include evidence of any other achievements you wish the Committee to consider (this might include extra-curricular activities). All documents should carry your full name and student ID number, and should be clearly marked ‘Application for Excellence Scholarship’. All documents must be in English or accompanied by a verified translation.

Send all the documents to:
