Treasury Accounting – Senior Position

Job description

As a member of the Regional Treasury Center supporting Nestle’s entities in the Asia Pacific region. Working in a small team, you are expected to be technically strong and knowledgable with fiancial standards and instruments. You should be operational and hands on while being able to play an advisory role to the other markets on recognising treasury transactions. Specifically, you will:

Provide support in treasury transactions right from dealing to settlement, controlling and confirming settlements.
Correspond with banks and counterparties on treasury matters.
Accounting of treasury transactions according to IFRS.
Responsible for month end closing and reporting to Centre Treasury in Switzerland.
Statutory reporting – preparing schedules for book closing, reporting to MAS, preparing schedules for income tax assessments.
Assist in preparation/finalization of taxation/audit matters.
Ensure compliance of IAS 39/32/IFRS 7 for all Asia Pacific markets covered by Nestle Treasury.
Consulting role on IAS 39/32, IFRS 7 and MTM on Financial Instruments for Asia Pacific Markets and Treasury.
Aware of compliance of other IAS/ IFRS Issues.
Ad hoc Financial Analysis on Financial Instruments.
Controlling functions on Financial Transactions.
Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting/ACCA with relevant experience.
Strong interests and passion in Treasury Accounting.
Familiar with IAS 39/32 IFRS 7/ Other IAS and Singapore income tax laws.
Strong knowledge of Financial Instruments valuation and Asia Pacific Tax Laws.
Prior working experience with Treasury Centre work will be advantageous.
Conversant with Microsoft Excel & Word and has working knowledge of SAP.
Meticulous and thorough in checking work.
Proactive, independent strong dedication with a “never give up” attitude.
