TECHNICAL LEAD (Web Application Development)

Role

We are looking to add a Technical Lead to our team in Singapore. The Technical Lead is a technical role focusing on software development and is a permanent position.

The role will include the following:

Creating high-level architecture design from business requirements and translate it to a detailed technical design
Demonstrating a high degree of proficiency and innovation in defining system-level architecture using widely-accepted patterns and practices
Be the primary source of technical information regarding new/upcoming technologies and plan how it can be used to give the company a competitive advantage and improve the efficiency of the development team
Input into technical approach, design and software development project planning
Planning and executing specific tasks assigned as part of the development project
Investigating technical solutions and keeping ahead of wider changes in the IT industry
Developing the UI, BL, DAL and DB modules

Candidate

The core technical requirements we expect candidates to be able to demonstrate are extensive and detailed practical experience of:

Web application development using ASP .NET & C#
NET Framework 2.0
SQL Server 2000/2005 (T-SQL)
AJAX
Web Services

The following would be advantageous:

Working knowledge in using .NET 3.0/3.5 and Unit Testing (Test Driven Development)
Familiarity with different software development tools e.g. Visual Studio 2005/2008, Infragistics, Dundas, CodeSmith, netTiers, CruiseControl.NET, NAnt amongst others
Knowledge of Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectural pattern

The following non technical criteria are required:

Minimum 7 years experience in software development
Experience in implementing software development lifecycle practices, including requirements analysis, project management, release engineering, configuration management, and problem tracking and resolution
Demonstrable passion for technology and its practical application
