Flight Focus Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based technology and systems engineering company, specializing in the design, development and production of high-quality avionics for airborne or simulator use.

Technical Engineer

Flight Focus Pte Ltd is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, results oriented and innovative person to fill the role of Technical Engineer in the company. The Technical Engineer will manage the development, implementation and integration of electrical and avionics systems designed to enrich and enhance aviation safety.

You will work with a range of management staff and technical experts in a challenging and fast paced environment.

The incumbent of the position of Technical Engineer within the Flight Focus organisation will report directly to the Senior Management.

The Technical Engineer is responsible and accountable for the development, implementation and integration in the field of electrical and avionics systems, including responsibility for:

Principal Duties

Design, develop and qualify the avionics systems required for the proper manufacture, assembly and installation of aircraft components and modifications
Research and review of engineering data such as manuals, drawings, reports, etc
Define structure or systems to determine the method of modification or alteration
Provide technical support and supervision during installation or modification
Investigate and propose solutions to system and engineering issues

Position Requirements

A degree in Electronics Engineering and/or Aerospace or similar discipline with a strong focus on technical and specification is required.
Demonstrable in-depth knowledge, understanding of, and experience with the electronics/electrical design data required for the proper manufacture, assembly and installation of aircraft components and modification within a quality management framework suitable for regulatory certification
Demonstrable skills and experience in the use and application of aircraft technical data such as engineering drawings, Avionics and ARINC Specification such as ARINC 429, 664,717,828,etc.
Demonstrable knowledge of standard aircraft electronics/electrical components and electrical engineering principles and techniques
Excellent interpersonal and management skills, able to work amicably with all levels of management of staff in the workplace, and as part of a team environment
Results oriented with a high degree of personal energy, imagination, creativity and initiative
Effective oral and written communications skills combined with excellent time management, decision making and organizational skills
Demonstrable abilities with the use of contemporary software packages such as MS-Windows and MS-Office appropriate to the work area
Ability to quickly acquire a working knowledge and understanding of the company’s products and practices, particularly in relation to the aviation and flight support products

The successful applicant must have a solid background in the avionics with a clear focus on functionality, specification and certification processes. You are required to have a track record of previous work with similar capabilities. You will be knowledgeable with regards to the establishment and definition of Engineering requirements. You will be well organised, able to use a high degree of initiative while working without direct supervision, and be able to interact effectively with a wide range of staff members of different technical backgrounds.
