Tax Accountant Global Industries Asia Pacific Pte Ltd

Global Industries provides offshore construction, engineering and support services including pipeline construction, platform installation and removal, and diving services to the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, Asia Pacific, Middle East/India, South America, and Mexico’s Bay of Campeche. Global is a leading provider of offshore construction services with 24 construction barges, 22 liftboats, 17 dive support vessels, and 15 marine support vessels.

Tax Accountant

Responsibilities:

Assist in collation of information and review of corporate income tax returns of various countries in the Asia Pacific region once received from tax consultants
Assist in completion of monthly taxation compliance in the Asia Pacific region (VAT/GST/withholding tax/ personnel income tax returns)
Assist in tax audits as and when necessary
Process accounting entries and maintain balance sheet reconciliations of taxation accounts
Assist in producing reports for quarterly taxation forecast
Analysing accounting ledgers to monitor tax-related accounts and review legitimacy of costs in entities
Ensure timely payments of approved external tax consultants fees and making necessary accruals of taxation fees
Miscellaneous assignments associated with tax function and special projects assigned by the Tax Manager

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Accountancy from a recognised University, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
At least 3 to 5 years post qualification experience either in commercial taxation work with exposure to financial accounting or in the professional taxation field
Experience in working with computerized system is essential
Strong communication/ analytical/ computer skill, resourceful and proven experience in meeting stringent datelines in a task-driven environment
Good team player with ability to work under pressure
Preferred, but not essential exposure to internal audit and Sarbanes Oxley 404
