The company is a major systems integrator for broadband video projects. We offer complete hardware, software, and management solutions for triple play (video, data, voice) service providers. Based in Singapore, you will be an integral part of our fast-growing expert team in the region.

Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

At the forefront of system support, provide technical support service and maintain other head end broadcast systems and products to a high standard
Setup for prove-of-concept and support for pre-sales activities
Provide phone and site support as required by Service Level Agreement
Coordinate with regional support staff to resolve technical issues/implement projects

Requirements:

Degree holder in Computer Studies, IT or equivalent
Solid practical experience of strong systems integration background
Knowledge of MPEG/DVB
Knowledge in broadcasting, pay TV industries
Understanding of Linux principles and practices including some basic shell scripting
Knowledge of RedHat Linux system administration including clustering
Knowledge of Oracle/MySQL databases in a DBA role, SQL literate
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking with CCNP preferred
Travelling, often at short notice and overseas is expected
Good communication skill in English and Mandarin
Able to pick up ideas quickly and be able to see things through to completion with minimum supervision
