Software Developer / Lead

Job Description:

To be part of the research and development team to aid in the development efforts in solving problems.
To research into the latest trends and technologies on the internet particularly in social media, such as Facebook, Blogs, Forums and other Internet community based sites.
To be involved in various parts of the development process, from concepts, designs, implementation and testing.
To develop web applications/services.
To design and implement web-based Graphical User Interfaces to suit client needs.
To liaise with our development center in China; able to converse and write in mandarin is preferred.

Requirements:

At least a Diploma/Degree in Computing, IT or related disciplines.
Strong working experience in web and portal development.
Must have good technical knowledge and development experience in at least one of the following languages: Java/C/C++/Perl.
Must have experience with databases and MySQL.
Good exposure and experience in open source environments like UNIX or Linux will be an advantage.
Experience in the following areas: Adobe Flex, HTML/XML parsing, Eclipse and Grails/Structs/Hibernate framework.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work in a team.
Highly motivated, pro-active and dynamic to adapt to changes quickly.
Able to speak and write Mandarin is preferred (liase with our development center in China; mandarin based applications)
Candidates with relevant experience will be considered for senior/lead positions.
