Senior / Strategic Sourcing Manager

Education/Training

Experience

Minimum 5 years in international purchasing, sourcing and contract procedures in a fast pace and international environment
3-5 years in a customer or client-interfacing role
Experience in MNC purchasing culture
Preferably experienced in a consulting role
Ideally experienced in the field of material industry, commercial commodities (rubber, chemicals, plastics etc), B2B/e-sourcing
Absolutely crucial is the ability to understand the appropriate processes and structure deals of the individual RubberNetwork.com member company, hence experience is preferably gained in a manufacturing organization or with manufacturing clients
Excellent project management skills and ability to manage several projects simultaneously

Job content

Management of key sourcing programs – individual programs with member companies involving direct and indirect commodity items; complex programs aggregating the purchasing power of several of the members across a country or a wider region
Close cooperation with member companies’ own procurement teams and their suppliers to develop and manage these valuable contracts

Key tasks include:

Identifying commodities suitable for individual e-sourcing activities for member companies and volume aggregations amongst members
Effective communication and rapport building with member companies
Identifying and screening potential suppliers
Conducting complex data analyses
Execution of e-sourcing activities using RNC on-line tools
Negotiating and concluding agreements for aggregation project
