SENIOR / STAFF/ PRINCIPAL STAFF SOFTWARE ENGINEER (DRIVER/WIFI/WIMAX/GSM/3G): 20 vacancies

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop SMART phone and other wireless consumer product protocol stack for 3G/ GSM/ GPRS/EDGE/ WCDMA/ HSDPA/HSUPA/ WIFI Broadband/ WIMAX cellular product Firmware designs and applications support.
To develop device driver level Embedded Software development for the range of Network Tools products in C & Assembly under Windows, Linux or VxWorks operating systems.
To develop MMI application for mobile phone and other wireless consumer product
To interact with hardware development team to understand the hardware design requirement
To develop SQL Server 2000 and database Management system.
To develop port Linux/WinCE/WinMobile/RTOS BSPs and tool-chains for multimedia processor SoCs
To develop documented device drivers and middleware stack for new hardware IPs and boot-loaders for reference platforms.

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree/Master/PHD in Computer/ Electronics/ Telecommunication Engineering /Computer Science Knowledge of PCI bus with min of 5 yrs experience in Windows Mobile Professional 6.1 & Linux drivers.
Proficient in C/C++, ++ and STL programming using C/C++/Java VB, VB.net programming language, Object-Oriented Design, Multi-threaded design or real-time operation systems.
Strong knowledge of embedded system tools (IDE, Emulators, Logic Analyzer, Oscilloscope), RTOS, Object Oriented Programming techniques, Component Based Architecture, and Build/Integration Management
In depth experience of system architecture, protocols and algorithms for software defined ratio.
Develop embedded software including functional specifications, Design, Coding, Test, Document, support, quality assurance, CMMI and Maintenance.
Experience in automatic test hardware & software development; ability to use various test & measurement equipments.
Experience in I2C, SPI, GPIB protocols, fiber optic transceiver firmware and hardware development will be an advantaged.
Knowledge of USB & Network Protocols (LAN & SAN) TCP/IP network programming would be advantaged.
Strong background in open GL graphics programming, GIS related programming (large scale map display, fence/route algorithms etc,) and GUI programming.
Good working knowledge of Real-Time OS for ARM micro-controllers e.g. Marvell PXA 270, Qualcomm MSM7201A 528 Mhz processor.
In-depth knowledge in processors (ARM/DSP) MMU/caching, buses (AMBA), OS (Linux) virtual memory/threading/power management, hardware interfacing and debugging.
Familiar with any SDLC, version control, bug tracking and other process tools.
Experience in implementing embedded device drivers or Kernel programming (especially on WLAN device driver development), and developing experience in embedded Linux environment Knowledge and experience in hardware interfaces (i.e. SPI and SDIO) and software interfaces (i.e. Ethernet driver in Linux).

The Senior Staff Engineer is responsible for the defining the roadmap of software development projects. This encompasses ensuring the adequate resources, budgets, and technology to meet the projects deadline. In addition, you will guide the project managers and project leaders and ensures the optimal allocation of personnel to the projects and ultimately leading to effective project management. You are expected to keep abreast of technology and organization development in the professional field to improve the knowledge and expertise within the department.
