Senior Software Engineer (GUI Application Development)

The Senior Software Engineer will be developing a new innovative and groundbreaking product for the Interactive Digital Media and related industries for our customers. The Software Architect is responsible for the design and development of a complex GUI based client server applications in a distributed environment. He/she will be responsible for requirements capture, application architecture design, GUI system, and data modelling, based on business requirements. The position has responsibility for the overall technical direction of the product, and the creation of the System Requirement and Architecture documentation as required.

Responsibilities:

Work with Software Architect to understand business flows, define users’ technical and functional requirements and participate in producing product specifications.
Works with the Software Architect to develop user-friendly interfaces meeting specified business requirements and upholding Best Practices.
Create technical design documents from Use Cases and Functional Requirements.
Design, implement and test client-server GUI application based on use-case specifications and architecture models.
Design and implement GUI components, application layout, GUI screens, GUI flows using Microsoft .NET, C# and 3rd party graphical API libraries.
Lead and participate in automated user-interface functional and regression testing.
Work with technical writers on development of user-manuals, training and support documents.
Keeps management informed of development risks and progress.
Ensures that the code developed meets established coding standards.
Responsible for application performance optimization and usability improvements

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or related discipline
Minimum 5 – 7 years of relevant working experience, including minimum 4 years solid experience in PL/SQL, stored procedures/functions, schema creation and design.
Detailed knowledge and experience in graphical programming, image processing, and MS-SQL or Oracle SQL.
Knowledge and experience in any of following domains: 3D rendering, Game/Simulation technology, Wireless technologies, Location-based services, RF design, Radio Propagation and Indoor Coverage Prediction.
Must have extensive hands-on experience on Microsoft .NET, MFC, SDK, ATL, COM, C++/Client Server architecture, multithreading and SQL/relational database.
Experience using 3rd party GUI component libraries and Google Earth API’s.
Strong OOAD concepts and knowledge of data structures and algorithms and product development experience
Understand design patterns and esthetics of UI design and workflow.
Strong technical aptitude, analytical, communications and interpersonal skills.
Must be pro-active, self-confident, diligent, self-motivated with a positive working attitude
Team player and willing to build products through a collaboration of ideas.
Ability to be creative, to offer suggestions, ideas and novel viewpoint
