SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER Hypertronics Pte Ltd

Hypertronics is the leading local manufacturer and integrator of industrial Nd:YAG and other laser systems for applications like marking, cutting, trimming, welding. We develop leading edge laser solutions for industrial processing and automation. Our laser specialists and comprehensive application lab is well equipped to provide the solutions that you require.

We build our own complete YAG lasers including designing the cavity, optics and electrical subsystems in Singapore. Besides that we design our own software to control the lasers and the scan heads to create new innovative and cost effective solutions for our customers to compete in the global market.

Due to the rapid growth of our customer base globally we are urgently looking for candidates with the qualifications and skills listed below.

SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Summary:

Provide service in Mechanical Design. Responsible for entire project cycle to include: design, development and project completion.

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, calculation, life cycle costs and equipment selection.
Prepare drawings and other visual aids.
Developing new concepts and prototypes to test laser processes and related automation applications.
Handling of flat panel displays manufacturing machines, which requires huge, highly accurate XYZ motor stages, high speed pick and place for hard disk industry and semi-con marking and handling equipment.
Prepare technical specifications.
Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details.
Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
Manage a team of assistants to design and fabricate the machines including installation at customers’ site.
Other duties as assigned.
Monitor and ensure updated and control of all mechanical drawings and documentation in company.

Additional Responsibilities:

Provide technical presentations to clients.
Provide on-the-job training to new staffs.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree or Master in Engineering(Mechanical) or equivalent.
At least 2 years of machine design experience in the fields like semi-con and hard disk manufacturing equipment.
Strong experience in 3D CAD base design with strong emphasis in SolidWorks.
Experience in machine building for semi-con, electronics & automation industries.
Work requires occasionally oversea travel.
