Rational SME
Title: Rational SME

Role Description:

The candidate should have significant demonstrated expertise in deploying, configuring, and maintaining Rational ClearCase & Rational ClearQuest. While these products are the absolute minimal, preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate additional skills in other Rational products (eg, test, project management, requirements management, etc).

The selected candidate will be required to undertake the following:

Perform knowledge transfer to the client team
Meet deliverables and milestones
Demonstrate technical leadership in installing & configuring all Rational software components listed above
Be able to communicate clearly & concisely to the client’s technical & PMO teams, as well as upwards to the Solution Architect & Program Manager
Adhere and Comply to relevant technical standards
Oversee the management of user accounts for project team members
Establish a joint operating environment where team members have equivalent access to the Rational suite & associated data repositories & reporting
Strong ability to liaise with the software, hardware, and network teams, as well as the Project Team
Document technical design of the Rational deployment in appropriate operations & installation guides
Attention to detail is important
Serve as a “power user”, technical infrastructure advisor & subject matter expert as required
Report progress to the Project Management Office (PMO)
Support the day-to-day operations of the PMO as required (reporting, database maintenance, etc)
Demonstrate hands-on deployment skills, including an ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges with the Rational suite
Professional IT experience in a large organization with complex, multi-tiered technical solutions, including hosted mid-range & blade environments

The candidate will work as part of a team and report to the Infrastructure Team Lead.

Skills:

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Ability to demonstrate technical proficiency with the installation of the Rational software components
Familiarity with IBM blade servers is a plus
Ability to meet deadlines
Experience working with diverse multi-cultural teams is a plus
Working experience in Thailand is a plus
Ability to work independently with limited supervision, as required
High quality written skills required; good oral skills highly desirable
