Quality Assurance Manager (Miri) J RAY MCDERMOTT ASIA PACIFIC PTE LTD

We are a leading worldwide marine solutions company servicing the oil and gas industry. Due to expansion, we are looking for an experienced and qualified individual to join us as :

Quality Assurance Manager (Miri)

Responsibilities:

Contributing to the development of the project execution plan and ensuring review and issue of the plan well within time.
Responsible for all quality related aspects of the project inclusive of supervision of project QA and QC activities and assisting the Project Manager and Construction Manager in the required planning of the project quality requirements.
Responsible of developing the Contract Quality Plan as required by contract and specifications with the relevant entities, department subcontractors involved in the project.
Responsible for the liaison with client/customer for the approval of the respective Quality Plan.
Identify and address in the conjunction with the key project personnel the various internal and external interfaces for the project and subsequent documentation (if required) of the respective responsibilities.
Initiating preventive and corrective actions where potential risks to Quality is foreseen or identified.
Identify unique requirements (welding sequences etc.) and/or special processes and/or special control and examination required for any specific activities during the execution of the project. Subsequent documentation of such requirements through addendum to procedures and/or method statements.
Responsible for scheduling and organizing the necessary internal audits as deemed appropriate of the relevant internal departments, entities and subcontractors involved in the project and ensuring that any corrective actions required are completed well within time.
Provide Project KPI and Project Quality Indicators (QI) information for Area Monthly Report.
Any other duties assign the management when deemed necessary.

Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Welding or equivalent
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Offshore Oil & Gas construction and installation with 8 years management experience.
Strong background in in establishment, operation and maintenance of QMS in accordance with ISO 9000 with capability of developing Quality System, Quality Plan, work procedure and inspection plans.
Strong command in English both written and spoken is essential
