Project Director / Project Manager

Are you a project manager looking for a new challenge? This is a great opportunity for a project director with proven expertise. The Project Directors will be instrumental to the success and ongoing

effectiveness of our business. This position is located internationally.

The position will cover most areas of construction project management and include:

Develop independent estimates of construction costs;
Identify any and all value engineering opportunities in any aspect of a given project;
Establish required qualified vendors for FF&E, prepare and evaluate competitive proposals.
Advance all pre-construction work and due diligence on plans, local ordinances and jurisdictions;
Ability to interpret local code and work with local inspection and administration authorities to establish proactive positive relationships;
Ability to troubleshoot design issues prior to construction and handle site condition issues effectively within code and budget considerations;
Daily project supervision;
Maintain design, construction, inspection schedules and turn-over up to final inspections;
Work with company architect and project architect to ensure concept is translated to design and construction documents;
Develop prototypes of design characteristics and lower costs through value engineering exercises with owners, vendors and architect;
Liaise with all contractors and vendors to ensure proper interpretation of owner needs while ensuring code compliance and operational feasibility;
Conduct location feasibility studies;
Negotiate costs and schedule with contractors and vendors to minimize change orders and extraordinary costs;
Supervision of company construction staff;
Report on progress and budget to home office on a regular basis;
Ability to multitask and direct and assign tasks effectively to staffing;

Applications are sought from construction professionals with bachelor’s degree in business or construction administration/management, and or a minimum of 7 to 10 years industry work experience supervising multiple disciplines and working with commercial, big-box projects of 10 Mil US or more in the hospitality construction industry. You must be an effective communicator and commercially savvy, who can professionally represent company.
