Job Description of Project & Bid Controller

Responsibilities

Project Controlling:

Act as single point of contact for all financial issues relating to projects. Co-pilot with the project manager to assure focus on financial goals.
Review and Analysis/follow-up of Budget, Actual and Forecast.
Consolidation and coordination of financial activities of the projects.
Support in quantifying/assessing project related risks and opportunities.
Reporting of financial status of the projects.
Provide input parameters for benchmarking in the bid process.
Support for sales and commercial negotiations if needed.
Setup and follow-up of early warning indicators / KPI´s.
Invoicing customer.
Initiating Bonds.
Cash-flow of project (follow-up of accounts payable/receivables and advances).
Ensure compliance with Bombardier accounting guide.

Bid Controlling:

Responsible for the preparation of the cost calculation and pricing of vehicle tender projects.
Compilation of all bid relevant cost information.
Financial analyses of the bid by internal and external benchmarking.
Alignment and validation of the cost calculation / pricing with the technical and commercial proposal.
Reporting of the financial status.
Support of cross-functional initiatives to improve the cost situation.
Support of sales in the finalization of the tender documents and the final customer negotiation.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree/equivalent in Business Administration.
The position requires minimum 5 years of experience in bid and/or project controlling in the railway industry or similar project-driven industries.
You should possess good analytical and communication skills.
You should possess SAP R/3 and SAP BW knowledge.
You should be used to working independently in an international environment and willing to travel.
We also expect the successful candidate to deliver quality work within tight deadlines.
Therefore, candidates have to be fluent in English, both spoken & written. Additional knowledge of an Asia language, e.g. Mandarin is an advantage.
