Abdoolally Ebrahim & Co (HK) Ltd is a 165 years old trading firm established in Hong Kong since 1842. Our group is engaged in housewares, textiles, commodities and property investment. To cope with our business expansion, we are inviting high caliber candidate to join us as Product Design Manager in our Housewares division:

Product Design Manager
Responsibility

• Build up and manager the creative team in Hong Kong with a creativity sense and vision, liaise with sales & marketing & merchandising teams for product development of OEM / ODM housewares projects;
• Provide strategic design directions and also tactical instructions for all major projects;
• Understand market trend & customer needs and give professional opinions and feedback;
• Oversee all creative projects from concept to production
• Support OEM production planning, design in line with product feasibility.

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma holder or above, major in Product Design or equivalent;
• Min 10 years relevant experience with at least 5 years in managerial level;
• Experience in stainless steel kitchenware and housewares items a definite advantage but not essential;
• Able to develop and lead the design team to execute all creative jobs;
• Creative, forward thinking, possessing the zeal for design and strong design sense in line with marketing and sales skills;
• Web design / graphic design capabilities a plus;
• Good communication and interpersonal skill;
• Excellent management skill and leadership in terms of both staff and product development;
• Fluent in both verbal and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Mandarin a plus;
• A team player, mature, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure to meet tight timelines.
