Procurement Engineer- Power Electrical

Job Description:

Manage key contract manufacturers and suppliers in new products’ implementation, process engineering and quality assurance in their manufacturing operationsInterlock with development and engineering teams in US to support all Early Manufacturing Involvement activities during new products’ development cycles
Support AP regional fulfillment operations and customer quality teams on line fallout / Dead-On-Arrival issues that are supplier-related
Conduct periodic audits at suppliers’ manufacturing sites
Provide value engineering and cost-down activities support
Drive suppliers to perform root cause analysis and provide effective corrective action plans, and monitor them until issue closure

Pre-requisites:

Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience in Point-of-Sales retail manufacturing industry will be added advantage
Strong analytical skills in electrical and electronics circuit designs. Able to read and understand schematic diagrams
Basic foundation and understanding of mechanical engineering principles
Strong communication skills and able to converse eloquently in both English and Mandarin
Good report-writing skills and well verse in applications like Powerpoint, Excel, Word, etc
Able to interact and collaborate with people from different levels and departments
Able to manage projects and lead internal and external team members to resolve problems and achieve goals set
Able to work in a globalized environment and flexible to handle irregular working hours and frequent late night conference calls based on US time zones
