Plant Engineer

Job Description:

Manage the maintenance function to support plant production operations, manufacturing process and building facilities. Plan and execute engineering and capital project for the plant

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and implement engineering projects to support installation or modifications of production lines and facilities.
• Evaluate and recommend technical projects to support manufacturing process improvements and production yield.
• Implement preventive, breakdown and condition-based maintenance programs to ensure minimum disruption to production operations.
• Evaluate plant process requirements for new product required to be produced in-house.
• Recommend and coordinate upgrading of plant infrastructure to enhance process capabilities.
• Manage and organize Engineering Store to ensure optimal inventory holding of engineering spare parts.
• Implement cost improvement programs to optimize / reduce operating cost
• Participate as team leader for maintenance as part of BIG Core Team development program.
• Plan and maintain budget for Engineering Department.
• Plan annual capital budget and manage the implementation of all capital projects for Manufacturing.
• To lead team of Engineering technicians to continuously improve & strive for higher performance.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical Engineering
• 5 years experience in engineering/plant maintenance preferably in a food and beverage industry
• Knowledge in food and beverage plant equipment and processes
• Able to exercise leadership over a team of technical staff and interact with all level of staff in the organisation
