PLANNING & CONTRACTS OFFICER
Responsibilities:
The candidate is required to assist the Planning & Contracts Manager in areas of quantity surveying, contract administration and project management for term contracts, cyclical and upgrading works within the Town Council’s estates. He/She shall be tasked to carry out the following duties:-
- Conduct site studies to determine the scope of work
- Prepare, call for and evaluate tenders
- Supervise repairs & replacement, repainting, re-roofing and improvement works
- Value works in progress and prepare variations and progress payment
Requirements:
- Diploma in Building/Civil & Structural Engineering with min. 2 years of site and contract administration experience, preferably in Town Council environment
- Registered RTO with BCA/IES preferred, however, candidate without this certification will be considered. Fresh Diploma Holders are welcomed
- Extensive experience and good knowledge of all construction quantity survey functions
- Responsible, independent, motivated and a good team player
