PLACE MANAGER (Events Management)

Marina Bay is the future heart of Singapore’s downtown. Planned as a seamless extension of the existing Central Business District, it is Singapore’s most exciting and ambitious urban project. It is set to the new focal point for the nation that will create an exciting array of opportunities for both locals and visitors to live, work and play in.

URA, as the Development Agency for Marina Bay, will work with stakeholders around the Bay to actively promote, market and place-manage Marina Bay such that it becomes an attractive investment and tourist destination for all to enjoy.

As a place manager, you will join our Marina Bay Development Agency (MBDA) team and work closely with our planners, architects and engineers to help spearhead and coordinate the development of Marina Bay. You will work together with other government agencies and the private sector to help establish and nurture the staging of public events and celebrations around Marina Bay.

In addition, you will also have to help oversee the management and maintenance of public spaces and infrastructure at Marina Bay such as the promenade and other installations. You will also be tasked to market and promote investment opportunities at Marina Bay to potential investors both locally and internationally.

Team work, interpersonal skills and resourcefulness are highly valued in the MBDA set up.

Requirements

  • Good honours degree in business, economics, real estate, building, communications, marketing, architecture, and related fields
  • At least 3 years experience in mass communications, marketing, events and/ or place management would be preferred;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good writing and presentation skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel
