Payroll Analyst

Job Summary:

To ensure a smooth running of payroll operations. Supervises all payroll functions to assure accuracy, timely completion, and compliance with divisional and corporate policies and procedures and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of the payroll process and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures regularly in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations
  • Communicate actively with Operations, HR and Accounts to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing
  • Partner with HR and Accounts in aligning and implementing a more sophisticated payroll and benefits system
  • Coordinating and reconciliation of relevant statutory authority returns including payroll tax reporting, workers compensation premiums and annual payment summaries
  • Ensure all processes meet compliance requirements
  • Ensure appropriate systems are set-up and updated to reflect accurate data, including wages, benefits, etc
  • Manage and prepare regular management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, tax deductions, benefit deductions, cash flow forecast, etc.)
  • Ad-hoc duties as required, i.e. termination calculations & payments for leaving employees, off-cycle payroll processing for new hires, etc

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Business Administrative, Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years in Full Spectrum HR Payroll and management experience preferably in MNC.
  • Experience in hands on Compensation & Benefits and Payroll.
  • Possess knowledge of various payroll systems and excellent knowledge of Singapore statutory regulations and laws.
  • Experience in SAP system will be advantageous.
  • Strong process management skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good team player with pro-activeness, willing to do and strong initiative.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Words, Excel, Powerpoint).
