Oracle DBA

We are currently recruiting Oracle DBA’s. These positions are based in Singapore

Skills Required

Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator
Knowledge of database clustering, client/server architecture, client connectivity products, network basics, database backup and recovery, database objects, database maintenance, and native database backup utilities, as appropriate.
Knowledge of DBMS internals and operations
Background in database performance tuning
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
Knowledge of Logical and Physical Data Modeling
Strong analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills
Strong interpersonal, communications, organizational and time management skills.
ITIL Training or Foundations Certification highly preferred
Must possess strong communication skills in English and have experience supporting in a global environment

Responsibilities:

Diagnose problems that are designated as exceptions from Level 1 Operations Management or as Incidents from Incident Management.
Review application release details, implement and validate database changes in close cooperation with Change and Release Management.
Install and upgrade of DBMS, and related tools.
Work with the Level 1 Operations Analysts on the definition and implementation of database maintenance jobs.
Provide updates to operational run books with respect to database tasks.
Build databases and database objects according to documented standards.
Implement DBMS security standards in compliance with company security standards.
Validate and test H/A database failover to ensure availability of application and resident cluster. This includes C&R as well.
