JOB SCOPE

☼ Work in the Network Operation Centre on 12 hours roster shift duty based on 3 days day shift followed with 3 rest days and 4 days night shift follow with 4 days rest days.

☼ Main responsibilities includes but not limited to the followings;

Performing acceptance testing and commissioning of the fiber cable and equipment such as SDH, power system, routers and others which are installed by the suppliers in the Cable Landing Station and various POP locations.
Plan for new circuit routing, execute circuit configuration, fiber patching and commissioning test of such circuit accompany with necessary BERT test report to the satisfaction of the customer.
Monitoring of alarms of SDH (DS3 to STM64) via SDH Monitoring System and Submarine Line Terminal Equipment, Power Feed Equipment via Terminal Equipment Monitoring System.
Perform first level troubleshooting on any alarm detected on equipment installed at both Cable Landing Station and various POP locations in Singapore.
Coordinate with respective vendor Global Technical Support Centre in analyzing and investigation of alarms detected and device process and schedule in clearing the faults systematically and professionally.
Carry out routine maintenance and check on the equipments, power system and fiber cable installed at Cable Landing Station and various POP locations.
Develop necessary Standard Operation Procedure and system documentation
Perform routine backup of the system configuration and database of the Terminal Equipment Monitoring system.

REQUIREMENT

Possess good relevant local ITE and or Polytechnics certificate specializing in telecommunication, IT and Networking.
Proven working knowledge in Transmission equipment, Networking and Optic networks especially DWDM, SDH, PDH, ROUTER and Optic Fiber Cable.
Have good analytical skill and proven track record in trouble shooting and problem solving.
Good command in spoken and written English and positive interpersonal skill.
Minimum 2 years working experience in Telecommunications industry involving transmission, Network Monitoring and any relevant IT field.
