Microbiology Research Assistant (MRA)

REQUIREMENTS :

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology, or all biotechnology-related discipline (i.e. molecular biology, environmental toxicology, and environmental microbiology);
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills;
• At least one year of experience in a research environment; at least two years practical experience working with microorganisms preferred; In addition, experience in molecular biology is highly desirable;
• Fluent in both oral and written English, the second language would be highly appreciated;
• Experience with computer applications such as Windows XP, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint;
• Necessary skills in adapting to various research methodologies and many work environments.
• Analyze data and prepare progress reports;
• Work closely with the on-site research engineer;
• Perform setup, culture, harvest, media preparation, and microbiological analysis of micro organisms;
• Maintain and organize stock cultures, laboratory, equipment, and supplies in good order assist in the development and validation of new procedures; write standard operating procedures
