MANAGER (SENIOR SALES) for MARKET DEVELOPMENT

Account Management

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, manage & support distributors’ channel sales & operations together with team
  • Be able to stand independently as consultant when engaged in projects with distributors – e.g. Improvements to Inventory Planning, Warehousing, etc.
  • Formulate sales promotional activities in tandem with distributors’ Action Plans for spare parts & accessories
  • Conduct market survey in distributors’ area of operations and identify market trends, customer requirements
  • Formulate and execute countermeasures against competitors’ activities
  • Communicate management’s policy and new initiatives to distributors
  • Assist management to achieve KPIs set out for distributors
  • Foster good relationships with distributors
  • Reporting to Group Head

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate should possess a diploma/degree/ post degree in Marketing/ Logistics/ Business or related fields
  • Experience in handling local & off-shore Business-to-Business accounts preferred
  • Cross functionality within team and has understanding of direct and channel business dynamics and key drivers
  • At least 7-8 years experience in managing/working with sales & marketing teams in a MNC environment and exposure to regional markets
  • Knowledge of order processing systems & shipping processes/AR-related activities is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic trade payment instruments (LCAS, RLC, SBLC etc)
  • Knowledge of automotive products or prior experience in automotive industry will be an added advantage
  • Able to multi task and be a good team player
  • Able to communicate effectively, negotiate, build relationships and achieve results in different cultures
  • Familiar with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be willing to travel
