Manager, City Celebrations

Operations & Games Services

Reporting to Head, Touch Relay & Other Ceremonies, you are to plan the YOG City Celebrations & Community Celebration Site (CSS) requirements & oversee the execution of activities with consultations from the various stakeholders. You will:

• Develop the concept of the YOG City Celebrations site & the Torch Relay Community Celebration sites (TRCCS)
• Work with stakeholders, CCS official & participants through the implementation & with event company to develop, manage & monitor the daily operations of CCS
• Coordinate with various government agencies in securing CCS site & development with appointed event management company
• Develop the concept of the TRCC site with the Torch Relay Team
• Guide & monitor the stakeholders TRCCS site, highlight the TR Team any irregularities that falls outside of the template of the TRCC
• Link the stakeholders in best sourcing to develop & support the TRCCS
• Work with TR Team to oversee the TRCC

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution
• At least 10 years in large scale event management, preferably in the area of exhibits or outdoor events.
• At least 3 years direct involvement in planning and managing the event.
• Previous experience in organising or were actively involved in Olympic nature or mega-sports outdoor related exhibition or fringe events is an advantage
• Able to plan strategically, manage operational issues, multi-task and function under a challenging environment
• Understand master plan development and ability to develop celebration/community site
• Good written & verbal communication and presentations skills
