Laboratory Technologist

Project title: HYGENE-COMS study (A research study to compare susceptibility genes associated with essential hypertension with/without metabolic syndrome)

Job description:

• Perform genotyping work (Includes designing of primers and hybridizing probes, optimization of assay and analysis of genotyping assays)
• Perform DNA extraction and maintenance of lymphocyte culture
• Facilitate in statistical analysis of data
• Assist PI in preparation of abstracts, posters and international peer reviewed journal
• Assist research nurse in clinical related activities as and when needed

Requirements:

• Diploma in Biotechnology with 2-3 years of related experience or Degree in Bachelor of Life Science with 1 year of relevant experience
• Knowledge in molecular biology techniques and the use of statistical software SPSS
• Competent in blood taking would be an added advantage
