IT Service Desk Specialist Danisco Singapore Pte Ltd

IT Service Desk Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to provide technical support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
  • Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
  • Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision.
  • Working knowledge of common operating systems and software applications
  • Must be fluent in English and Mandarin, also desirable Bahasa.
  • Must be available for immediate international travel (if required) for training.
  • Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Providing IT Support, assistance and issue resolution to global (internal) customer base. Support is to be provided via helpdesk application, phone, face-to-face (for local site), email and other tools, e.g. remote control.
  • Performing scheduled task including backup checks and tape and liaising with local IT contacts at various site to ensure complete and correct backups.
  • Monitoring of automatic system alarms and logging issue with appropriate provider as and when required.
  • Liaising with other (internal) global support resources to ensure smooth transition between time-zones & regions for incident and problem resolution.
  • Follow standard Servicedesk operating procedures and accurately log all incidents in the tracking software.
  • Ensure performance meets agreed Service Level Agreements and incidents are prioritized and assigned appropriately.
  • Other duties as assigned by Regional IT Director

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma holder + Min 3 years experience in Application and System support
  • Experience in Windows PC and Network Support
  • Experience in Windows 2000 & 2003 Server Support
  • Helpdesk experience, providing assistance to large global customer base
