Parker Drilling Company is a worldwide service company providing drilling and rental tool services to the energy industry both on land and offshore. As a result of growth within the region, an opportunity has arisen for the position of International Procurement Executive based in Singapore:

International Procurement Executive

Essential Functions:

Manages Singapore based regional procurement function. Activities include coordination of the vendor selection process, soliciting quotations for requisitions, issuance and monitoring status of purchase orders, tracking shipments and coordinate pre-clearance requirements for customs.
Provides support and coordination to Operations to insure optimal and cost-effective balance of local, Regional, and Corporate sourcing options.
Insures alignment and consistency with Corporate Supply Chain (SCM) strategies, goals, initiatives and processes.
Evaluates, recommends and manages regional outsourcing alliances.
Assists and supports the Business Unit’s Asset and Inventory Management objectives which includes:
Collaborating with Operations to insure accurate records and categorization of assets.
Provides assistance as appropriate in the area of Property Accounting.
Supports Operations in areas of asset transfers, replacements, major repairs and refurbishments

Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelors’ degree preferably in the Technical discipline is required.
Possess at least 7 years of purchasing experience, ideally in the Oil and Gas industry.
Excellent command of spoken and written English language.
Superior in MS Office applications and familiarity with ERP software is a must.
Possess TQM experience preferred.
A team player with high integrity and sense of urgency is required.
Ability to interact with all levels of management and across cultural and organization boundaries would be a requirement.
Dynamic and committed with proactive working attitude.
Customer-oriented, good analytical and organization skills will be key for the success of the position.
