Insurance Compliance Officer

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct periodic independent compliance/operational audit checks and investigations, including customer complaints
• Review and recommend improvements to procedures and coordinate follow-up actions
• Evaluate and assist in drawing up guidelines on internal controls
• Ensure compliance with both internal guidelines and external regulatory guidelines
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the Compliance manual and registers

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in relevant field
• Minimum of at least 2 years experience in compliance/internal control in Insurance or Financial Services institution.
• Meticulous and independent
• Should have a knowledge of key regulations such as the Financial Advisers Act, Insurance Act and familiar with MAS legislation and regulatory requirements
• Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills
