Fire Safety Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reviews the SOPs for FEP and that the plan is effective and operational at all times
To conduct checks and remove or cause to remove any fire hazard that is found in the premises
To oversee the maintenance of the fire safety systems in the premises
To recommend tests for fire safety systems to ensure that they are in good operating condition
To create awareness to the occupants in establishing a fire safe environment
To train the occupants in basic fire fighting and rescue
To conduct fire safety campaign/talks/discussion/lesson
To assist, co-ordinate and document fire safety meetings
To supervise the operation of the Fire Command Centre ( if available)
To set up a fire safety committee made up of suitable staff from the occupants
To put up reports to owners on the fire safety of the premises
To liaise and co-ordinate with SCDF on all matters relating to fire safety and its requirements
To conduct Table-Top Exercises and fire drills and evaluate the effectiveness of such exercise and drills
To prepare and implement the Arson Preventive Plan (APP)
To notify the SCDF immediately of any occurrence of fire incidents in the premises
To manage the department in attending to tenants Fire Safety issues
To accommodate to any reasonable request by Clients
Other job assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

At least 2 years of experience practicing as FSM
Registered with SCDF
Familiar with all statuary documentation and submission regarding fire safety
Need to travel and cover several premises within the contracted area
Good basic knowledge of M&E work and building work
Able to plan for fire prevent schedule and routine check within the premises of the contract area
Engineering back ground will have added advantage
Able to start work ASAP
