FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Role Overview

To manage and provide all accounting & financial functions for Ink Publishing (Pte) Limited, liaising with and reporting to our London based head office
To manage the Singapore based accounting team (currently two staff)
To work closely with the Singapore based credit control team (currently two staff)
This is a hands on role, which will mean you will get involved in the day to day operations of the accounting system and the business of the Company
To provide direct and regular financial support to the Managing Director of Ink Singapore
To provide active support in managing the company’s cost base
Over time, to take responsibility for the financial function of Ink’s business in Hong Kong

Financial Accounting

The successful applicant shall be required to fulfill the following duties:

Management and adherence to monthly financial accounting timetable
Receipt processing (via remote accounting application)
Management of the purchase ledger
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Analysis of monthly management accounts
Working closely with the credit control team
Payroll and commission processing
GST administration and returns
Preparation of income tax returns
Management of the annual audit
Cash planning and monitoring
Checking of expense claims
Governmental grant submission and monitoring
Any other ad-hoc duties as required, including supporting the HR function with employment commencement and cessation processes
Supervision of Finance Team

Requirements

Demonstrate strong commercial, financial & analytical skills and experience
Good technical accounting skills, preferably with an accounting qualification
Experience with widely used integrated accounting software packages. Experience with Exchequer accounting software would be ideal.
Experience of foreign currency accounting
Ability to drive internal processes and controls in order to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
Job Costing experience desirable as is previous experience in managing a team
To be structured, well organized and tidy
To demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Good interpersonal & communication skills with ability to influence at all levels
Ability to fit in with the Company culture and employees
Able to start work within short notice is highly preferred
