Financial Analyst (Costing) Schlumberger

Schlumberger is the leading oilfield services company in the world supplying technology, services, project management and information solutions that optimize performance for customers working in the international oil and gas industry. We are currently looking for suitably qualified candidates to join our team for following positions:

Financial Analyst (Costing)

Key Functions:

· Maintains a cost accounting system, which effectively meets the needs of the business and business strategy on a continuing basis. This includes:

Reporting and analysis of product sales/costs and profit margin;
Reporting and analysis of manufacturing performance relating to material, labor, overhead and routing/method variances, scrap; inventory adjustments;
Providing support to manufacturing departments on financial issues.
Providing business, financial and cost analysis;

· Prepares and setting of new standard costs. Update Product Line, item type & status, inventory class for new items populated from GeMs; Coordinates the annual standard cost revision ;

· Maintenance of interco and transfer pricing in MfgPro;

· Coordinates reporting and analysis of inventory levels and provisions including Surplus and Obsolescence;

· Coordinates all activities relating to the planning, auditing, summarizing and reconciliation of physical inventory including random cycle count auditing.

· Maintains effective internal control systems, which protect and control company assets and ensures compliance in procedures to group financial policies and accounting standards;

· Co-ordinates month end close and assists in monthly FP reporting;

· Co-ordinates year end close and prepares audits and tax schedules in compliance to statutory requirements;

· Provides support for the monthly forecasts and annual budgeting ;

· Maintains effective and good working relationships with all functions of the Product Center personnel;

Preferred:

Education: Degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent

Experience: Three years related experience; Possesses strong analytical skills
