Finance Manager Singapore Buddhist Welfare Services

Singapore Buddhist Welfare Services (SBWS) was registered with Registry of Societies and The Charities Branch on 27th May 1981 and 8th May 1991 respectively. It is a full member of the National Council of Social Services (NCSS). It works closely with the Ministry of Community Development Youth and Sports (MCYS), Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises (SCORE).

Singapore Buddhist Welfare Services invites highly motivated individuals to join us as:

Finance Manager

Responsibilities

Formulate accounting policies, procedures and guidelines according to the prevailing accounting standards and recommended practices;
Implement and review regularly the financial polices and procedures of SBWS, including her divisions and affiliates;
Assist in the preparation of strategic work plans, including the development of short-term and long-term finance-related strategies;
Ensure compliance with the statutory requirements and regulations;
Monitor the keeping of books and records;
Supervise the financial reporting, preparation of annual accounts;
Develop, coordinate and prepare the annual budget and forecast for capital and operating expenditure;
Review all ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and year-end financial statements and relating to the activities of SBWS, as well as her divisions and affiliates.
Prepare quarterly reports for the Board and ad-hoc financial reports for meetings and presentation to external parties;
Implement, review and update internal control system and procedures; identify weaknesses and propose corrective actions to protect the assets of SBWS, including her divisions and affiliates;
Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and general ledger systems and recommend appropriate changes when required;
Liaise with external auditors;
Perform other duties as and when assigned by the President;
Promote and develop harmonious working relationships among finance-related staff; and
Project a good organizational image of SBWS, her divisions and affiliates.

Requirements

ACCA or a good recognized degree in accounting, preferably with CPA;
At least 7 years of experience in accounting with at least 4 years in a management capacity;
Preferably with past working experience in a non-profit organization;
Good communication & interpersonal skills;
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point applications;
Able to work under pressure and multi-tasking;
5 days work;
Preferable those who reside in North East Zone;
Able to start work immediately will be an advantage; and
Applicants should be Singaporean and Singapore Permanent Resident.
