Electrical Engineer/Designer – Lead R&D Engineer for Sensors and Sensor Solutions Sick Sensor Intelligence

For our R&D operations in Singapore, we are currently looking for highly motivated professionals to join us as:

Electrical Engineer/Designer – Lead R&D Engineer for Sensors and Sensor Solutions

For engineers with management aspirations

Profile description

Product development of high performance sensors and sensor solutions
Lead R&D Engineer with Project management responsibility
Development of new sensors and sensor solutions, including,
- Conceptual design of the product including electrical hardware and software design
- Circuit design
- Prototype testing
Sensor product transfers to Asia, adaptation of existing product lines to regional requirements
Assisting in the selection and qualification of electrical and electro-mechanical components
Acting as technical support function for local General Manager
Assisting in building up R&D capacities as well as designing/shaping operational processes

Requirements

Degree or Diploma holder from recognised institutions
Prior working experience for sensor and sensor solution manufacturers
- Prior R&D experience in the field of electrical/electronic engineering
- Prior experience in developing inductive and photoelectric sensor devices
- Previous exposure to EMC troubleshooting and counter measures
At least 5-6 years of relevant experience in R&D environment
A structured and proactive mindset with results oriented and hands-on work mentality
A strong interest in product-applicable Research and Development as well as affinity for working in a laboratory environment
- Familiar with complex circuitry, analog and digital
- Knowledge in testing and qualification principles and procedures
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Production-oriented development of electronics boards
- Familiar with latest electronic components
