Walt Disney Television International (Southeast Asia) is a fast growing regional television network and is seeking a self-driven individual who is highly motivated and committed to join us in the following role.

Director, Finance/Commercial Operations

You will report to the Managing Director and partner effectively with the various Operating departments.

Responsibilities:

Ensure financial integrity of our business operations
Identify and analyze profitability issues, and work with the management to ensure continuous improvement to our operating results
Lead and manage financial and management reporting
Manage and coordinate the preparation of budgets, long-term plans and periodic forecasts
Interpret, analyze and evaluate results relevant to our business units, and make recommendations as necessary
Strategize and lead negotiations with vendors and other business partners for various projects as required
Guide and develop the professional capabilities of the Finance team members
Perform other ad hoc analysis as required

Under a dotted line reporting structure, you will also report to the Vice President of Finance and Business Operations for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. In addition, you will work closely with the regional Shared Accounting Services team (Australia) as well as the TV Finance team based in Burbank, USA

Requirements:

Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA
Prior experience in an MNC is essential; broadcasting experience is preferred
An effective negotiator who is commercially astute
Strong interpersonal skills and capable of building good working relationships
Able to inspire confidence, influence others and rise up to challenges constructively
Able to appreciate and analyze key business processes and complex business issues
High standards of personal integrity
