The Auditor-General’s Office (AGO) Singapore is the independent auditor of the Government and reports to the President and Parliament on the proper accounting of public moneys and the economic, efficiency and effective use of public resources to enhance public accountability.

DIRECTOR / DEPUTY DIRECTOR (CORPORATE AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS)

We are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of Director/Deputy Director (Corporate and Public Affairs) in AGO.

As the job-holder, you will be in-charge of the full spectrum of corporate functions in AGO, namely corporate planning and development, human resource management, budgeting and financial management, office administration, public relations and communication, international liaison matters as well as motivating and developing your staff.

You will provide leadership and direction in the above areas so as to help AGO carry out its duties and responsibilities effectively and efficiently, and with excellence. You will report to the Deputy Auditor General or Assistant Auditor General.

To qualify for this job, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Degree, preferably good honours, from a recognised university;
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience with at least 5 years in a managerial position in the Public Sector;
  • Familiar with Public Sector financial and personnel guidelines and rules, e.g. Government Instruction Manuals, Government accounting practices, Public Service Division’s circulars etc;
  • Excellent managerial skills and able to multi-task and work under pressure; and
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
