Desktop Analyst (9-month contract with benefits)

You will be responsible for providing 1st level technical troubleshooting on client workstations. You will provide support to WinXP, MS Office, printer issue and in-house application via on-site, email and phone.

You will perform server room, backup & recovery tasks and setup/upgrade PC & OS installation. Must be a team player and work with minimum supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and provide on-going support, maintenance and analysis of existing and new setup to meet the business needs of the organization.
  • Assist in project’s controls, scoping, documentation, vendor and resource management, from planning through to the completion of the projects as part of the project team support.
  • Oversee all regional office support and IT requirements. Coordinate with Technical and Business Operations on issue resolution and support for Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific and associates.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 year’s experience in a support position, preferably, in service desk support, working with other Helpdesks engineers and IT professionals.
  • Minimum of a technical certification.
  • Good knowledge of desktops and applications in an end-user environment, and as system operator level managing servers in a small to medium enterprise wide environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. Proven experience in escalation, resolving issues and ticket handling is preferable.
  • Manage multiple tasks and effectively handling shifting priorities and carry on through task completion.
  • Excellent speaking & writing skills in English. As you are required to work with Chinese speaking clients and vendors, you must also be fluent in Mandarin.
