Design Engineer

Qualification / Experience:

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering;
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in rotating equipment design;
Hands-on experience or familiarity with:
o API 610, 614, 682, 671
o ASME B & PVC Sections V & VII
o Hydraulic Institute Standards
o ISO 13709
Proficiency with 2 & 3D CAD software, UG, Auto-CAD, Pro-E, Solid Edge a plus;
Experience with chemical plants or Oil Refineries a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
The successful candidate will be hardworking, self-motivated, be an independent thinker, be a team player with good analytic & problem solving skills, and excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
5 day work week; 09:00am to 06:00pm

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting customer specifications, and for selecting and specifying the proper components and materials to support both the operation of the pump and the customer’s requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform bearing and mechanical load calculations;
Perform pressure vessel calculations in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII.
Select and specify existing pump parts and assemblies;
Specify rotating shaft sealing devices;
Specify drivers;
Select and specify drive components;
Generate assembly, installation, test and operating instructions;
Complete various data sheets;
Compute Bills of Materials

Remuneration:

A 13 month bonus; all statutory benefits as required and a hospitalization & surgical insurance policy will be provided.
Remuneration will be commensurate with your experience and qualification.
