The Meridian Group of companies, with interests in shipping agencies, shipbroking, NVOCC, containers logistics shipping software and consultancy support services is expanding its business activities regionally. We presently have offices in Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Malaysia and are expanding regionally in Asia.

We are looking for a bright, energetic and ambitious people to join our Group of companies. We have the following vacancy:-

CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work within the team to ensure bookings are maximised for each vessel.
• Build and maintain close relationship with customers – Main Line Operators, Direct Shippers andNVOCCs.
• Update booking into in-house system, ensure all details/charges are correct before vessel departs Singapore.
• Ensure the requirements from Principals are met within deadlines.
• Seek approval from Principal for acceptance of Dangerous Goods (DG).
• Create Portnet PM4 and monitor approval prior to loading of DG shipments.
• Any other duties as per assigned.

Job Requirement

• Fresh graduates with Diploma looking for a challenging and exciting career in the shipping industry are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in customer service in the shipping industry preferred.
• Singaporean / SPRs. Malaysians with good SPM results are also welcomed.
• Independent, forward thinking and hardworking.
• Speaks English and Mandarin.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
• Possess good customer service skills.

Working hours/ Working location/ Salary range

• Working Hours: 9am – 6pm (Monday – Friday).
• Working Location: Town.
• Remuneration will be commensurated with experience.
